New Drug Overcome Prostate Cancer - Hopes for prostate cancer patients seem to be getting a big heal after scientists succeeded in developing a new drug called abiraterone. Scientists welcomed the enthusiastic presence of abiraterone and judge it as the most significant advances in the field of cancer treatment during the last 70 years.

According to experts from the Institute of Cancer Research, cancer research center based in the UK who developed abiraterone, this drug should be proud of because it claimed to be able to treat up to 80 percent of patients with this deadly disease. This drug works effectively by blocking the hormones that trigger the onset of cancer

The Institute of Cancer Research hopes a simple pill form abiraterone will be available in two or three years. Clinical trials involving about 1,200 patients worldwide are currently still being implemented and will be followed by a number of advanced research at the end of this year.
